Do you want to join other guests in a group? Do you want to stay in the resort all day long and simply relax? Or are you interested in going out to visit some sights in Sri Lanka? We promise – everything is possible!
is located in the Southern Province of Sri Lanka, which is famous for its breathtaking beaches. You can find us in Nilwella, Dickwella, a small fishermens’ village between Matara and Tangalle.
Isolabella is Italian and means beautiful island. As you will see, our resort is situated next to the coast. You can walk over a bridge of sand and explore a little island where exotic trees are growing.
of Isolabella, Flavio Barattini, is Italian and living in Sri Lanka for 19 years. He established the Ayurveda Resort in 1999 and, after renting the place for some years, is now back, living and working in Isolabella. He speaks English, German and Italian fluently. Though he is not living the ayurvedic life, the guests and the team could not imagine an Isolabella without him. He is always present in case of any questions, for an entertaining talk or simply to share “la dolce vita” in Sri Lanka.
In case you are interested in the Sri Lankan culture or just want to see some of the surroundings, you are free to do some excursions. In Dickwella, the closest town for example, you can find a temple with the biggest sitting Buddha statue in Sri Lanka. (With a Tuk Tuk you are there within 10 minutes.) If you feel like taking a walk, Blue Beach/Hiriketiya is a nice destination. The bay is, in contrary to the beach in front of Isolabella, a little bit more touristic and e.g. surf lessons are offered. Furthermore, we are always there to help you plan a trip to the National Park, whale- or seaturtle-watching or anything else.
